Responsibilities:
1. Effectively maintain electronic customs handbook to ensure its compliance, validity and effectiveness.
2. Liaison and cooperate with local customs authorities to support Miele DG Customs declaration / compliance matters.
3. Normal import /export transactions are routinely conducted to support business growth and requirements.
4. Maintain and update Customs Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) according to changing customs regulations and business environments.
5. Work closely with internal and external partners to effective address all customs related matters.
6. Conduct regular walk-through tests / simulations.
7. Lead, develop, train and manage a customs team to constantly improve their skills and know how.
8. Manage import /export declaration brokers and monitor their performance.
9. Regularly report customs related progress and activities.
10. Continuously seek opportunities to reduce customs related costs.
11. Other tasks assigned by line manager or HOD.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree with the business administration major preferred.
2. Minimum 8 years of Customs declaration / compliance management experiences with round 5 years experiences in supervisor / manager position.
3. Holder of Customs authority recognized certificates is preferred.
4. Hands on experiences of using mainstream electronic customs software, with ERP system knowledge preferred.
5. Solid knowledge of local customs regulation and requirements.
6. Excellent communication skills, basic English skills are a plus.
